Pep Rally is a local-first app. Your data stays on your device.

Data Collection

Pep Rally does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data is stored locally on your device.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Starting with version 1.1, Pep Rally uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This helps us improve the app.

• Firebase Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g. walks started, walk duration, features opened). No personal information, dog names, or location data is included.
• Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports to help diagnose and fix bugs. Crash reports do not include personal data.

Device Permissions

Pep Rally may request the following permissions, all of which are processed on-device only:

Permission	Purpose
Location	Track walk routes and display maps during dog walks
Motion & Fitness	Detect activity levels (walking, running, resting) during walks
Camera	Take photos for your dog’s profile
Photo Library	Select existing photos for your dog’s profile

You can revoke any permission at any time in Settings > Pep Rally.

Third-Party Services

• Apple MapKit — map display during walks. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — anonymous analytics and crash reporting. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

All app data (dog profiles, walk sessions, activity history) is stored locally using on-device storage. Deleting the app removes all data.

Children’s Privacy

Pep Rally does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
